Priorities

Public Safety

Increase first responder salaries to remain competitive with other Metro area agencies.

Expand the specialty units within our police and fire departments to increase their response capabilities and the services they offer our community.

Increase the police force by ten officer positions to bring Clinton into compliance with the FBI recommended number of officers for a city our size.
Economic Development

Facilitate large-scale development such as industrial, manufacturing, and technological through expansion of existing industrial park and creation of new development corridor positioned to take advantage of the unique opportunities afforded by the Clinton-Raymond-Bolton Wastewater project.

Work with developers to increase the number of new houses being built in Clinton, in order to help attract residents.

Work with local businesses and community partners to bring new retail and dining options to Clinton, with a specific focus on areas of need identified by citizens such as additional grocery options.


Quality of Life

Work with community groups to reauthorize the 2% parks and recreation fund and establish priorities for the second phase of development under that fund.

Build on the success of the Traceway lighting project and continue to expand the services and quality of our sports fields.

Promote and increase amount of local events and arts opportunities.
Infrastructure

Oversee the construction and completion of the Clinton-Raymond-Bolton Wastewater project, the largest infrastructure project in Clinton and western Hinds County history.

Expand the paving budget to increase the number of roads being repaved every year.
​

Work with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers to help find solutions to drainage problems in the city.
