Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Today, with great pride and excitement, I announce my campaign for Mayor of Clinton, MS. Clinton holds a special place in my heart; it is my hometown, it is the place that helped instill the values that I hold dear, and it is the place I have chosen to raise my own family. As such, it is with a deep sense of purpose and responsibility that I embark on this journey, a journey on which I hope you will accompany me.
On that note, before I go any further, I want to make something clear. This campaign is not about me; it is about us and a shared vision of what our great city can be. It is about what we can achieve when we combine our strengths, our ideas, and our dedication. I am humbly asking for your support, your input, and your partnership.
I fundamentally believe in the power of government to serve its constituents and help people. Nowhere is this more evident than in local government. Local government is the bedrock of our democracy and the level of government closest to the people. It has the ability to have real, tangible, felt effects on the day-to-day lives of people and makes the decisions that most directly affect your safety, roads, schools, and quality of life. That is why it is vitally important to elect a mayor that has both the knowledge and understanding to address these issues, as well as a deep connection and commitment to preserving what makes Clinton special.
I have spent the last five years as City Attorney and the last two years as Municipal Judge, as well. These years of hard work and civic duty have given me not only experience in, but also a unique insight into, the issues facing our city.
This is a pivotal moment in our city’s history, and Clinton’s next mayor must be someone who can hit the ground running. I am deeply involved in all the major ongoing projects in our city and already have relationships with local and state leaders that are necessary to be an effective advocate for our city. All of this has given me the knowledge, experience, and commitment to get to work for you on Day 1.
In the coming weeks and months, I look forward to meeting with you, hearing your concerns, and sharing my detailed plans about our future. Clinton has always been more than just a spot on a map - it is a city with a deep sense of community. It is a place where young families plant roots, and dreams grow from them. It is a place that feels like home, whether you were born and raised here or are a new resident.
I have had the privilege of watching the city grow and change over the years, and I am committed, with your help, to leading Clinton into our bright and prosperous future.
